Meet with Government Factory
NERDC and Government Factory Officials Discussing under the concept of clean Sri Lanka to enhance the productivity and efficiency of inter institutional scopes.
On January 21, 2024, a significant discussion took place between the National Engineering Research and Development Centre (NERDC) and officials from the Government Factory. The meeting, held at the NERDC headquarters, focused on exploring collaborative efforts and the potential contributions both organizations can make to Sri Lanka’s economic growth.
The discussion brought together key figures, including Eng. Ananda Wijesinghe (Director General of the Government Factory), Eng. S N B M Padmasiri (Additional Director General of the Government Factory), W M N S B Narampanawa (Mechanical Engineer of the Government Factory), and senior representatives from NERDC, such as the Chairman, Director General, Deputy Director Generals (Services and R&D), and several NERDC engineers.
The discussions revolved around identifying opportunities to leverage engineering expertise and technical innovation to drive national development. Both parties shared insights into their ongoing projects, capabilities, and strategies to enhance industrial productivity and technological advancements within the country.
Eng. Ananda Wijesinghe, DG of the Government Factory, emphasized the importance of aligning efforts to meet the nation’s economic priorities. NERDC Chairman Eng. Thilak Weerawarna highlighted the Centre’s role in fostering innovation and welcomed the opportunity to collaborate with the Government Factory on impactful initiatives.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to strengthening partnerships and harnessing engineering solutions to contribute meaningfully to Sri Lanka’s economic growth.
